“Bullfight” which has a medium of oil on canvas was painted during the Modern Period, which spans from 1800 to 1945. The modern period consist of 145 years, beginning in 1800 to 1945. This period was driven by technological progress and characterized by rapid change of society (505).The culture of this painting is the French Culture. Bullfight was one of Picasso earlier painting after going to see a Bullfight with his dad, which influences him to paint the Bullfight scene. Impressionism has influenced this artwork. Impressionism portrays the daily life, especially the leisure activities (584) and in this painting the activity show’s a bullfight between a bull and the matador (the man).
The Blue Period of Picasso is the period between 1901 and 1904, when he painted essentially monochromatic paintings in shades of blue and blue-green, like in the “Tragedy.” The artwork was painted in the French Culture. Tragedy” was painted by the same artist in 1903 oil on canvas. The color blue was chosen to show misery and despair of the figures and the death of a close friend. He used the different shades of the color blue to underline the melancholic styles of his subject. The use of expressionism was to express the psychological or emotional states, especially the artist’s own personal feelings (583).
Both painting were painted by French culture , but painted in different periods, reflecting how the artist felt.
“The Bullfight by Pablo Picasso was painted in 1901, one of his earlier paintings. It was one of his first paintings after going to see a Bullfight with his dad. It was painted in the French Culture. Theirs not much information about this painting, because Picasso used this canvas several times to paint his work of arts. Like the painting “Tragedy was painted over the’ Bullfight’ in 1903. The National Gallery of Art has shown ample evidence to suggest that he painted a large Bullfight composition on the wooden support (NAG), which now support the paintings the ‘ Tragedy ‘which was painted in 1903.
“Tragedy “by Pablo Picasso was painted at the turn of the 20th century. His personal life was very difficult at the beginning of the 20th century, as well as being a late teen, away from home for the first time and living in very poor conditions. “Tragedy” was painted from a French culture and painted in what he called the “The Blue Period”. The Blue period lasted from about 1900-1904. He used different shades of blue to underline the melancholic styles of his subjects. He was focusing on human misery and the death of a close friend, who committed suicide. This tragic loss added another layer to the psychological depths of the paintings from the Blue Period.

Dear Matt,
this is one of those essays where critical thinking is key.
What does the book say about art done in the twentieth century? What period begins with the beginning of the 19th century is continues right up to the present?
The chapter has the word in it.
Much better, Matt.
Yes, Matt, this essay is much better and remember both paintings were painted during the Modern Period.
